- the right to information (Art. 15 EU GDPR)
- the right to erasure (Art. 17 EU GDPR)
- the right to rectification (Art. 16 EU GDPR)
- the right to data portability (Art. 20 EU GDPR)
- the right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 EU GDPR)
- the right to object to data processing (Art. 21 EU GDPR)

To exercise these rights, please write an email to datenschutz@butterback.de. The same applies if you have questions about data processing in our company. You also have the right to complain or appeal to a data protection regulatory body.

Objection rights

Please note the following in connection with your objection rights: If we process your personal data for the purpose of direct marketing, you have the right to object to this form of data processing at any time without having to state your reasons. This also applies to profiling to the extent that it is related to direct advertising. Your right to object is free of charge and can be made informally, if possible by email to datenschutz@butterback.de. Purposes and legal bases for data processing

When processing your personal data, we comply with the provisions of the EU GDPR and all other applicable data protection regulations. The legal bases for the processing of data stem in particular from Art. 6 EU GDPR. We use your data to initiate business, to fulfil contractual and legal obligations, to implement the contractual relationship, to offer products and services and to strengthen customer relations, which may also include analyses for marketing purposes and direct advertising. Your consent is also required under data protection regulations. We will inform you in this context of the purpose of data processing and your right to withdrawal. Should the consent also include the processing of special categories of personal data, we will expressly point this out to you in the consent process. A processing of special categories of personal data within the meaning of Art. 9 Para. 1 EU GDPR will only take place if this is necessary due to legal regulations and there is no reason to assume that your legitimate interest in the exclusion of data processing prevails.

Passing on data to third parties

We will only pass on your data to third parties within the framework of the legal provisions or with your consent. Otherwise, your data will not be passed on to third parties unless we are obliged to do so due to mandatory legal provisions (passing on to external bodies such as supervisory authorities or criminal prosecution authorities).

Recipients of data

Within our company, we ensure that your data is received only by those persons who need it to fulfil their contractual and legal obligations. In many cases, service providers support our specialist departments in fulfilling their tasks. The necessary data protection contracts have been concluded with all service providers.

Data storage periods

We store your data for as long as it is needed for the respective processing purpose. Please note that numerous retention periods require that data continues to be/must be stored. This applies in particular to storage obligations embedded in commercial law or tax law (e.g. Commercial Code, Tax Code, etc.). If there are no further storage obligations, the data is routinely deleted once the purpose has been fulfilled. In addition, we may store data if you have given us permission to do so or if legal disputes arise and we use evidence within the framework of statutory limitation periods, which can last up to thirty years; the regular limitation period is three years.

Secure transmission of your data

In order to best protect the data stored with us against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons, we employ appropriate technical and organisational security measures. The security levels are continuously reviewed in cooperation with security experts and adapted to new security standards. The exchange of data from and to our website is always encrypted. We offer HTTPS as the transmission protocol for our website, in each case using the latest encryption protocols. The decryption of this data can only be carried out by us. Alternative means of communication may also be used (e.g. by post).
